I love creating with Rosa, who is also an amazing photographer! She is an experienced model and really knows her way around the camera - including in front of the lens! This session goes to show that one fierce look can garner a lot of great images. It’s Hollywood glamour meets modern bombshell!
2018 was quite a year! I did 127 photo shoots, including boudoir, pinup, burlesque, couples, and even some weddings! Sessions took place indoors, outdoors, in abandoned locations, in my home studio, and in beautiful private homes - as well as swanky hotel rooms. I even had one session take place in a science lab and another at the Denver Botanical Gardens! I photographed boudoir beauties, burlesque queens, dark fairies, all manner of spooky folks, Beetlejuice, and even Santa Claus. I traveled to Nashville, Dallas, Hot Springs, Los Angeles, Florida, Montreal, and Albuquerque, while my personal travels took me to Iceland and Italy.
I want to send a huge thank you to every single person who got in front of my camera this year. I am so grateful to you for trusting me with your imagery, and I have had the best time creating with all of you. I am looking forward to another year full of amazing clients, collaborators, friends, and creatives.
There are many things I love about my job, but one of the things I love most is traveling to other cities and meeting amazing women. In October, I had the pleasure of teaming up with Madison Hurley Photography in charming Hot Springs, Arkansas. We not only got to collaborate on images of the local ladies in Arkansas, but we also traveled together to Dallas (stay tuned for that blog post). Madison was kind enough to loan her photography studio to me so I could take portraits of Hot Springs's local burlesque troupe: Foul Play Cabaret. Here are some of the highlights of my photo shoot with them. Featuring Rosa Lee Bloom, Violet D'vine, Ruby Lead, and Doris Night.
