5 Minutes a Day to Self Confidence

It's time to stop the comparison game!

5 minutes a day. That's how long I want you to spend thinking about yourself from a neutral - and eventually positive - perspective. Read below for more!

Facing Negative Self Talk

There's something that happens at almost every boudoir session I shoot, and I bet you could guess what it is. Many of my clients — no matter how beautiful each and every single one of them is — will say something negative about themselves at some point in the process. Even though I understand why it happens (hello marketing and social media), it bums me out every single time.

This is why I have a "no-negative self talk" policy in the studio!

But how do we get there? To the place where we can silence the negativity, stop comparing ourselves to others, and learn to claim our self confidence? We just gotta take it one day at a time.

Today, I’m challenging you to:

  1. Stop the body comparison game

  2. Do your best to be kind to yourself.

Your body is incredible, you are stunning, and there’s not a single person out there like you! What’s the point of comparing yourself to another person in the first place? You have a unique beauty and perspective in the world, and it deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

Starting today, take five minutes every day to write down:

  1. One thing something positive or neutral about your physical self

  2. One thing positive about your non-physical self.

It takes work to build ourselves up and to stop the comparison game, but it can be done and it can be transformative!

Feel free to share your affirmations with me by commenting on this post. I'm happy to be your self acceptance accountability buddy! ☺️
